The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund - The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund has provided more than $14 million in unrestricted grants to the families of military personnel who have given their lives in the current operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. The gifts, $11,000 to each spouse and an additional $5,000 to each dependent child, have been intended to help these families through any immediate or long-term financial difficulties they may face. VA Benefits for Survivors of Military Personnel Involved in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom  - The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a variety of programs to assist the survivors of military personnel who die on active duty. These provisions also apply to those serving on active duty outside of the combat theater.
Widow Net - An information and self-help resource by and for widows and widowers facing grief, bereavement, and the recovery process. AARP resource listings are provided.
Snowball Express - The mission of Snowball Express, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, is to help create new memories and a few days of joy for lives that have been shattered by the loss of their fallen hero.
Wings of Light - A non-profit organization providing support to families, friends, and rescue and support personnel involved with deaths, catastrophic losses, and those who survive. Wings of Light does not charge service fees to those touched by aircraft accidents. Wings of Light works to increase awareness of the public and decision makers of the needs of those affected.
